Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira was highly criticized prior to his fight against Randy “The Natural” Couture at UFC 102. In some mixed martial arts websites, he was labeled as the “young old man” in MMA. However, this past Saturday night he was able to prove his critics wrong with one of the best performances in his professional MMA career. After three action-packed rounds, Nogueira was victorious over Couture via a unanimous decision.

“For most of the people who say you’re done, when you can come back and prove you’re still in the game and put on a good fight, that’s what I did. I worked a lot, more than I ever did in my life for this fight. A lot of respect I have for (Randy Couture), he’s a true champion. I have a lot of respect for him, that’s why I trained so hard to put on a good show. It was a tough fight but I was prepared for that. I was ready to go five rounds.”
