Mike Swick Apologizes For Canceling His UFC 103 Fight Against Martin Kampmann

Mike Swick

The #1 UFC welterweight title contender was going to be decided at UFC 103 as Mike “Quick” Swick was fighting Martin Kampmann for the spot.  However, Swick suffered a concussion during a training session which forced him off of the fight card.  Paul “Semtex” Daley will be replacing Swick at UFC 103 and now he’ll take on the Kampmann as part of the main card.

From Mike “Quick” Swick:

“I am very sorry to the fans who were looking forward to this fight. I was very excited to come back home to Texas and fight in front my family, friends and fans. I am also sorry to the UFC, they have spent a lot of time promoting this fight. I am in great shape and will continue to train hoping to get an opportunity to fight again soon. I will post any updates on my Twitter page at Twitter.com/officialswick. I want to thank all the fans for their support. The emails and Tweets have been great and has made this unfortunate incident much easier to deal with.”
