Matt Hughes Picks BJ Penn Over Georges St. Pierre: “BJ Has More Power And Has A Stronger Chin”

The former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes breaks down the UFC 94 main event fight between Georges St. Pierre (GSP) and BJ Penn.  In his blog, he mentions the fact that both fighters have a chance of winning the fight because of their unique skills.  He states that GSP has better wrestling while Penn has great submission techniques.

The anticipated rematch is set to make fireworks this upcoming Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.  After winning and losing to both fighters in the octagon before, Hughes gives Penn a slight advantage only if he is in shape on January 31st.  If for some reason Penn isn't in shape, Hughes believes that GSP will be victorious and will defend his UFC welterweight title.

Snip from Matt Hughes:

"This weekend is the GSP/BJ rematch, I’ve been doing a lot of interviews
on this topic, since I’ve fought both of them (lost to both and beat
them both). I think this fight comes down to a lot of things, I think
GSP will have a slight wrestling advantage and I think BJ will have a
submission advantage. GSP might be a little quicker with his punches;
but I believe BJ has more power and has a stronger chin. If BJ shows up
in good shape, I think he can get his hand raised at the end. If BJ
doesn’t show up in good shape, then he might have some problems."
