UFC light heavyweight fighters Matt “The Hammer” Hamill and Jon “Bones” Jones have verbally agreed to meet in the cage as part of the Ultimate Fighter 10 finale fight card. Although the UFC has not officially announced the date, the reality show finale is aimed for December 5th at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Hamill is coming off back to back wins including a huge knockout victory over Mark Munoz via a vicious head kick in the first round. He was expected to take on Krzystzof Soszynski at UFC 102, but he sustained a knee injury that forced him off of the fight card.
Jones has won three consecutive bouts in the UFC and holds continues to hold an undefeated record of 9 wins, 0 losses. His last victory was a beautiful guillotine choke submission over Jake O’Brien in the second round. Prior to that, he defeated Andre Gusmao and Stephan Bonnar via a unanimous decision.
