Mark Coleman To Face Brock Lesnar In August

The former UFC heavyweight champion and winner of PrideFC’s 2000 open-weight Grand Prix tournament, Mark "The Hammer" Coleman, was inducted into the UFC hall of fame this past Saturday at the UFC 82 event.

Not only was he inducted, but he announced that he would also be scheduled to fight the former heavyweight WWE champion Brock Lesnar.  When asked how he felt about the induction, he quickly responded "I am not retired… He’s (Brock Lesnar) a beast, he’s an animal…But I plan to find a way to beat his — I promised my mom I wouldn’t cuss — to beat his butt."

Lesnar will be fighting for only the second time in the UFC and third time in mixed martial arts.  Lesnar last fought at UFC 81 against Frank Mir, losing to Mir via a submission-kneebar.  He’ll be looking for his first win in August as he prepares for The Hammer, UFC’s heavyweight veteran.
