The ex-NFL player, Marcus Jones, is all set and ready for his MMA debut tomorrow at WFC Cage Wars 5. The event will take place at the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall in Tampa, Florida. He is scheduled to fight on October 26 at 8pm ET and will be looking to take on the 25-year old Will Mora who is fighting with a record of 2-1-0.
Marcus Jones admits that he has always been a mixed martial arts fan, but never became serious about participating in the sport until he started wrestling with his friends.
He joined the Gracie Tampa academy and has been practicing ever since. Although Johnnie Morton (ex-wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers) wasn’t successful in his debut at K-1 Hero’s in June of this year, the ex-Tampa Bay Buccaneer defensive feels very confident in winning tomorrow as he will be set to fight on his first tournament ever in mixed martial arts.
