Karo "The Heat" Parisyan fought and defeated Dong Hyun Kim via a split decision at UFC 94. Parisyan gave Kim his first loss in mixed martial arts, but with the use of prescribed pain killers. According to Keith Kizer, the Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director, Parisyan tested positive for hydrocodone, hydromorphone and oxymorphone.
Parisyan will most likely be facing a suspension and fine from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).
The fight could also be overturned from a victory to a no-contest,
but there is no official decision yet. We'll keep you guys posted.
