Josh Koscheck fought and defeated Anthony Johnson at UFC 106 in what was considered by many as one of the toughest fights in his mixed martial arts career. Immediately after his victory, Koscheck told media and fans how he deserved to be the no. 1 title contender in the 170-pound division even over Dan Hardy who is already booked to take on Georges St. Pierre (GSP) for the UFC welterweight belt.
From Josh Koscheck:
“I know there’s somebody here that thinks he’s the No. 1 contender…He thinks he’s the No. 1 contender, but he hasn’t fought anybody…He ain’t fought nobody like me…Guaranteed, I’m the No. 1 freaking contender in the division…I guess Dan Hardy is next in line, so we’ll let him fight for the title and see what happens after that…I’m not concerned. I just want to fight whoever they put in front of me and put on exciting performances like tonight, so that’s my goal.”
