Jose Aldo Confident With His WEC 48 Game Plan, Ready To Defend Title Against Urijah Faber

WEC lightweight champion Jose Aldo feels fully prepared to face former champion Urijah ‘The California Kid’ Faber on April 24th.  The Brazilian knockout artist respects Faber as a fighter, but he won’t let anyone get in the way of his MMA dream of keeping the WEC title.

For those that don’t know, Aldo will be in Faber’s hometown where he’ll be defending the title for the very first time in his career.  After nine consecutive MMA wins, Aldo plans on adding to that streak come April 24 at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California.

From Jose Aldo:

“I fight for my fans. I love putting on a good show for them, and I feel that they enjoy a good stand-up game. I am very excited to be headlining the first-ever WEC pay per view, and I can guarantee it will be a great fight. Urijah was the champion and has been a top fighter for some time. I knew that I would one day be facing him in the WEC. I don’t know where the fight will take us, but I am confident that my game plan will bring me a great victory and allow me to keep my belt. It has been my dream to be the champion and I won’t let that dream be taken away from me.”
