Randy Couture wants to discuss his reasons for resigning with the UFC and his future goals as an MMA fighter. It seems like there might be other plans for the former heavyweight champion and we’ll hear it directly from him during a press conference that will be aired on Mark Cuban’s high definition channel- HDNet. The press conference will take place at the Xtreme Couture Martial Arts in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Fedor Emelianenko also had a press conference yesterday afternoon and he talked about his recent signing with M-1 Global. He also stated that there was more freedom within the organization, which would allow him to fight other organizations without being given any sort of penalty. This means that he could fight the current champion of the UFC, Randy Couture. When Fedor was asked about fighting Randy, he repied by stating that he has great respect for him and has admired Randy for a very long time. Fedor went on to say that it would be an honor to fight a man like him if there is an opportunity.
We may be expecting Randy to talk along the lines of trying to fight a man like Fedor if he wishes to continue practicing mixed martial arts. Randy’s press conference will be held on Thursday, October 25th and we’ll keep everyone posted with what goes on during the meeting.
