The current UFC welterweight champion Georges “Rush” St. Pierre (GSP) will be putting his belt on the line against the hard-hitting Thiago Alves.  GSP is considered by many as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world and his skills will be tested once again at UFC 100.  In a recent interview with Fighters Only, GSP admits that Alves has defeated his opponents in a “better fashion” than he has so he expects a difficult octagon battle on July 11.

GSP vs. Thiago Alves will be the co-main event of the evening, a must-see bout for all mixed martial arts fans around the world…

Snip from Georges St. Pierre himself:

“I truly believe that if you would put Thiago Alves and BJ Penn in a fight, I would bet all my money on Thiago Alves, no doubt about it. Skill wise, he’s bringing a lot more problems to the table than everybody that I’ve fought so far. Skill wise in fighting, the best guy that I’ve fought so far…BJ Penn, Matt Hughes, Koscheck and like all those guys… Thiago Alves has beaten those guys. So for me fighting Thiago Alves is something very exciting for me because he has beat those guys and he has beat them even in… I would say, in a better fashion that I did.”
