Fedor Emelianenko has a meeting this Thursday with UFC representatives to discuss his future. As of now, he still has no contract with any organization, but wants to make some sort of deal that can settle down the #1 Heavyweight in the world. The last time Fedor fought was in April as he fought Matt Lindland in an event held in St. Petersburg Russia
, his homeland.
Everyone is eager to see Fedor fight in an event already, where many claim that he has been absent for too long. It really doesn’t matter that he has been away from either the ring or a cage because he continues to participate in worldwide sambo tournaments. K-1 has met with him before and they want him to stay in Japan, where his fans continue to chant his name.
We’ll have to wait and see what kind of contract the UFC is willing to give this Russian Sambo champion. Hopefully we get to see Fedor fight somewhere very soon as he always entertains the crowd no matter where he is at.
