Fedor Emelianenko Announces the Professional Fighting Organization he will Join on Monday October 22

Fedor Emelianenko will be in the heart of New York City, Manhattan, to announce the future fighting organization he agreed to sign a contract with.  M-1 is the organization that he is expected to have signed with, but the press conference he plans to attend on Monday will clarify everything once and for all.

After several organizations tried to ink a contract with the #1 heavyweight in the world, he will finally be given the key to his new home.  The UFC was thought to be his top choice, but it seems like Dana White couldn’t pull this one out.  Due to this, the current UFC heavyweight champ, Randy Couture, decided to retire as he explained that the main reason why he stayed was to fight “Emelianenko Fedor.”

It would have been great to see Fedor fight some of the best fighters in the UFC.  Many have questioned his performance as well as his ranking after watching poor performances by several PrideFC fighters including Fabricio Werdum, Mauricio Shogun and Mirko Cro Cop.  Nonetheless, we’ll be sure to see a sold-out crowd wherever Fedor decides to go.
