Evan Dunham Not Taking Sean Sherk Lightly At UFC 119: “I Think He’s Just As Dangerous As He’s Always Been”

UFC’s unbeaten 155-pounder Evan Dunham is just days away from colliding with former UFC lightweight champion Sean Sherk at UFC 119.  Dunham has nothing but respect for the ‘Muscle Shark’ and doesn’t plan to take things lightly come September 25th.  The Xtreme Couture southpaw fighter feels that he will be entering the octagon as an underdog even though the betting lines label him as a heavy favorite.

From Evan Dunham:

“I still see myself as the underdog in this fight. If you look at the guys that Sherk has lost to, it’s an incredible list: they are all champions, or former champions … I think he’s just as dangerous as he’s always been. With that being said, I’ve been training my ass off, and I’m not looking past him at all. And I like being the underdog, so that’s why I mentally put myself there. It’s easier for me to make that fight uphill, when I’m thinking one minute, ‘I’m going to go right through this guy,’ which is something hard to do with a guy like Sherk. I’m just concentrating on doing what I need to do and getting through him, and I’m not taking him lightly, whatsoever.”
