Dan Henderson talks about Anderson Silva: “Style-wise, I’m just a bad fight for him” (UFC 82-Pride of a Champion)

The current 185 lbs. PrideFC champion Dan Henderson is pretty much ready for his upcoming fight against the current unbeatable UFC middleweight champion Anderson "The Spider" Silva scheduled for March 1st, 2008.  Silva seems to be in another level as there is nobody out there who has been able to take away the belt he wears today.

Nonetheless, Henderson decided to drop down in weight again (205 lbs. to 185 lbs.) where he is expected to be stronger and more effective in this weight class.  Henderson recently lost the unification title match to Rampage Jackson (at 205 lbs.).  Now, he will look to face the Spider (at 185 lbs.) in one of the most anticipated fights of the year.  Silva is a knockout machine and Henderson has never been knocked out before in his entire MMA career.

What a fight!!!

Here’s what Dan Henderson had to say about Anderson Silva:

“I’m excited. I’m ready to go kick his ass. Style-wise, I’m just a bad fight for him. He’s very tough, very talented, but he hasn’t fought anybody like me. My strength is the clinch game, and I don’t get out of position there to allow strikes. That’s what he thrives on- guys that are out of position and not very good in that clinch. For me, that’s where I’m going to beat him up, and if he gets there with me, I’m going to be taking him down and beating him up on the ground."
