Cro Cop can’t wait to Fight

Mirko Cro Cop was considered the #2 Heavyweight fighter for a very long time until he lost to Gabriel Gonzaga.  To many, Mirko continues being #2 and feels that he will be back stronger than ever.  He has been in this type of situation before and proved that he would be able to come back even if someone knocked him out.  Nobody is invincible (Fedor Emelianenko is NOT human, haha) and a talented fighter learns even more from their losses and that’s what MMA is all about.
Mirko will be back to fight on UFC 75-Champion vs. Champion as he regains his confidence once again.  This has happened to him before when Kevin Randleman shocked the MMA world and knocked out Mirko cold.  It was a stunning moment at the time, which left all the Cro Cop fans saddened and disappointed.
Here is a video I wanted to post up to remind all of you of the loss he had with Kevin Randleman:

However, he did come back to win 13 out of his last 15 matches before he lost to Gonzaga.  One of his losses came from the #1 Heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko and the second loss was to Mark Hunt, a split decision that could have gone either way.
Mirko won two Bushido Pride fights after losing to Randleman and here is the fight against Aleksander Emelianenko, the first fight in the Pride ring–Pride Final Conflict 2004:

Mirko Cro Cop will be facing a tough stand-up fighter, Cheick Kongo, who has very similar fighting techniques including the ability to knock out opponents with powerful round house kicks to the head.  This will be a very important match-up in Cro Cop’s career.  Mirko’s only option is to win if he wants his chance to win the belt in the Heavyweight division.  I really hope that he can get a rematch one day against Gabriel Gonzaga just like he was able to against Randleman the second time:
