Bruce Buffer Going For The ‘Buffer 360’ Turn At UFC 100

The voice of the octagon, Bruce Buffer, is famous for his ‘Buffer Turn’ at 180 degrees.  Throughout his career in the UFC, Buffer has always given us goose bumps as he announces the fighter’s names, minutes before two contenders enter combat.  At first, his voice was enough to hype us up for the fights and now he has the whole ‘Buffer turn’ effect to add just a bit more of excitement.

We’ve seen him do the 180 turn in the past few events as he screams out “Introducing first…” which personally gets me out of my seat as I prepare to watch an amazing UFC fight.  However, in a recent interview Buffer talks about adding some flavor to his turn by taking it to the next level.  Instead of doing 180 degrees, he plans on going for the full 360 degrees.  UFC 100 may be the ‘Buffer 360’ debut so keep an eye open for that on July 11th.

Snip from Bruce Buffer himself:

“I turned 52 in May and as far as I’m concerned, the way I work in the Octagon — whether it’s a Buffer 180 or 360, which could very well happen at UFC 100 — I can do this well into my sixties. I’ll be doing this as long as they’ll have me. No matter what I do in life, I always give one hundred and fifty percent. Some of my moves are a little pushy on the knees or the hips but like I always say, the show must go on.”
