Brett Rogers Set To Embarrass and Knock Out Alistair Overeem On May 15 At Strikeforce ‘Heavy Artillery’

Brett ‘The Grim’ Rogers has been calling out Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair ‘The Demolition Man’ Overeem for almost a year now.  He plans on gassing out the Dutch fighter, embarrasing him in front of everyone at the Scottrade Center and then knocking him out for good.

What angers Rogers the most is that Overeem hasn’t defended the belt against anyone since first acquiring it in November of 2007, which is almost three years now.  They’ll finally be able to settle things MMA style as he clashes with ‘The Demolition Man’ at the Strikeforce “Heavy Artillery” event, scheduled to take place on May 15 in St. Louis.

From Brett Rogers:

“I’ve been wanting this fight since [last] May before the Arlovski fight. I’ve been calling (Alistair Overeem) out and he’s been back-and-forth with words online but he never showed up. There’s always been some excuse. He’s one of those cocky, arrogant dudes that thinks he’s a god because of his appearance. I’m pretty sure if it wasn’t for his “Eastern Diet” his appearance wouldn’t look the same. It is what it is, I’m a natural [and] natural-hearted strong person and we’re gonna see who wins come May 15. The key to beating him is outworking him — get him gassed, embarrass him and knock him out.”
