Boxing Legend James Toney Laughs At Offer Made By UFC President Dana White

The boxing legend James Toney is a current NABO and IBA Heavyweight champion, holding an impressive overall boxing record of 72-6 including 44 knockouts.  Toney has been in talks with UFC President Dana White regarding a possible MMA debut with the UFC promotion.

On January 2nd, 2010 Toney was spotted at UFC 108.  Shortly after the event was over, Toney demanded to talk to UFC President Dana White regarding fighting for the UFC.   When negotiating, he was quoted as saying “I ain’t going to allow none of them boys to lay on me like a lil’ fag, you know what I’m saying?”  In a recent interview, Toney explains how his negotiations with the UFC were pretty much a joke.

From James Toney:

“Dana White’s first offer was a joke and that lets me know he really don’t want to do this … his offer was laughable. That’s the reason I wanted the camera guy in the room with us when I sat down with Dana, so the fans would know that I was serious and if it didn’t happen, it wasn’t because of me.”

Here’s a clip of their first meeting:
