Babalu Apologizes to David Heath

Renato Babalu Sobral decides to apologize even though he stated at the post-conference fight at UFC 74-Respect, that David Heath “deserved” to be choked out the way he

did it.  He seems to regret his terrible actions and made sure to apologize to David, the UFC, NSAC and to the public.

This is what he had to say:

I would like to say I’m sorry to David Heath and for anything I’ve done to the sport I love.

Although he apologized to the public, he still has not received the second half of his paycheck ($25,000.00).  The NSAC has not come to a decision as far as if he will be fined or

suspended, but Keith Kizer, the Executive director of the NSAC, assumes that there will not be any extreme penalties even after reviewing the tape.

This is what Mr. Kizer had to say:

I’ve looked at the tape a lot. While I do believe there was some intent here, I don’t think this rises to the level of some other things we’ve seen

We can only wait and see what the final decision may be for Renato Sobral as soon as the NSAC comes to some sort of conclusion.
