Antonio”Minotoro” Rogerio Nogueira (not to be confused with his brother, Antonio “Minotauro” Rodrigo Nogueira, who is currently fighting for the UFC) just signed with Canada’s Hardcore Championship Fighting (HCF) to a 3-fight contract.
This is a second contract HCF has made with former PrideFC fighters as they have recently signed Aleksander Emelianenko as well. Althought HCF is thinking of putting him in the November card in Vancouver, no opponent or official date has been scheduled for Minotoro as he looks to put up a show and gain fans in North American soil.
Keith Crawford, HCF CEO, spoke with FCF radio and this is what he had to say:
“Today we’ve announced the signing of Antonio Rogerio Nogueira…Minotoro of course the nickname that’s the smaller
brother, the 205 pound Nogueira, to get a gentlemen with his Pride
experience and fight experience under exclusive contract to us is huge
for us, and huge for MMA in Canada. We’re hoping his first fight will
be in November in Vancouver, as one of our main-events, or
semi-main-events, on the Vancouver card. Either way we are ecstatic to
have him under our banner.”
