Affliction ‘Banned’ Weigh-In Results: Aleksander Emelianeko vs. Paul Buentello Removed

The Affliction "Banned" weigh-in results are
finally and we can finally prepare to make history with Affliction having it’s
first MMA event.  The fight card looks amazing, headlining Fedor
Emelianenko vs. former UFC champion Tim Sylvia.  The Affliction debut is
scheduled to take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
The bouts are set to broadcast at 8pm ET on FSN and the main pay per view
portion will begin at 9pm ET.

All fighters seemed to make weight just fine, but Affliction ran into one major
inconvenience.  Unfortunately, Aleksander Emelianenko failed to pass all
of the medical exams required by the California State Athletic Commission
(CSAC).  There are possibilities of a new opponent for Paul Buentello, but
the time span looks to be way too short for a replacement.

Here are the complete Affliction: "Banned" weigh-in results:

  • Fedor Emelianenko (230 lbs.) vs. Tim Sylvia (263 lbs.)
  • Josh Barnett (256 lbs.) vs. Pedro Rizzo (242 lbs.)
