The second round of the Middleweight Grandprix 2008 is underway. The
DREAM 4 fight card is scheduled to take place on June 15th at the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan. The winners during this event will go on
to the final stages of DREAM’s Middleweight title. The title is set to
be crowned at the DREAM 6 event.
The DREAM 4 fight card is focused entirely on the Middleweight division. However, there will be other bouts on the card including Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic who will be taking on Ralek Gracie in a "special rules" 2-round grappling match. Cro Cop’s original opponent was Jerome LeBanner, but had to be rescheduled to a later date. Additional bouts will take place that same night, which I have listed below.
Here’s how the DREAM 4 fight card will look like:
Featherweight:
- Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto vs. TBD
Lightweight:
- Shinya Aoki vs. Katsuhiko Nagata
Middleweight:
- Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Melvin Manhoef ***(Manhoeff replaces the injured Kiyoshi Tamura. Tamura injured himself in the first round and Manhoeff won a reserve bout against Kim Dae-Won to earn the spot).
- Zelg Galesic vs. Taiei Kin
- Gegard Mousasi vs. Yoon Dong-sik
- Ronaldo de Souza vs. Jason "Mayhem" Miller
- Special Match-up: Denis Kang vs. TBD
Special Grappling Match:
- Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic vs. Ralek Gracie
