WOW!  Talk about some devastating leg kicks from FEATHERWEIGHT champion Jose Aldo, that’s right the 145-pound champion.  Imagine some heavy leg kicks from the bigger MMA fighters like ‘Mach’ Sakurai, Ricardo Arona, Pedro Rizzo, Mirko ‘Cro Cop’ Filipovic or good old Bas Rutten.  Ouch!!

Jose Aldo Plans On Defending His WEC Title A Few Times Before Considering UFC Move

The current WEC featherweight champion Jose Aldo definitely plans on making a move to the UFC lightweight division.  Before he even decides to move there, he plans on defending his belt a few times to prove that he is fit and ready for a different weight class.  Aldo is a black belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expert, but he is making his name as a striker with six of his seven WEC wins ending in knockout or TKO.

From Jose Aldo:

“At the moment I am still not thinking about it. First I have to train and defend the title a few times in my division. It is a plan for the future, but not now, just for a distant future. I intend to fight in the UFC, absolutely. I do not believe in fighting against B.J. or anyone else (right now). Before I get there, I have to do some fights to adapt to the weight, and then I’ll just see what happens.”
