Fedor Emelianenko Content With M-1 Global, Prepared For Strikeforce Fight Against Fabricio Werdum or Antonio Silva In June

Fedor Emelianenko has been asked over and over if he was leaving mixed martial arts promotion M-1 Global immediately after his contract is up.  Although his contract is set to expire real soon, Fedor states that he is content with the partnership he has with the Holland-based organization and had no intentions of leaving it.

The Russian Sambo expert is pretty much set to take on Fabricio Werdum as part of the Strikeforce event held on June 26th in San Jose, California.  If negotiations fall apart or Werdum is not able to compete on that date, Antonio Silva would be willing to come in as a late replacement.

From Fedor Emelianenko:

“I have no intentions leaving M-1 Global. We have a very good partnership, so I don’t see any reasons why I should break-up my current deal with that organization. My next opponent will be Fabricio Werdum. We are currently negotiating with his team, but if something goes wrong we will try to reach an agreement with Antonio Silva.”
